NATURE RESERVES

BlueGreen Conservation is one of Bath’s main countryside contractors, specializing in all aspects of habitat creation & regeneration. We are recommended and contracted by BANES Council, Camerton Parish Council & many other private & public groups to manage and maintain our local nature reserves. Our current reserves are detailed below. Click each header for more details including forthcoming events, directions & the site history for each location:

Camerton Batch LNR

Camerton Batch is one of Bath’s local nature reserves (LNR). It has an interesting and varied history- starting life as an old slag heap, but today offering a rich biodiversity.

WORK UNDERTAKEN: Woodland management; Sole woodland manager for the site.


Manor Road 

We have just been awarded the contract for regenerating the wetland area, and the subsequent management thereof. Work commences in Oct 08.

WORK UNDERTAKEN: Wetland creation project (Beginning Oct 08) and Ditch management.


Carrs Wood

Contracted by BANES to upkeep grassland/ woodland footpaths and tackle

encroaching scrub within the wildflower meadows.

WORK UNDERTAKEN: Path maintenance and scrub

clearance, plus Grassland regeneration (flying flock)
