CARRS WOOD

We were contracted by BANES Council for path maintenance work throughout the wooded grassland areas of Carrs Wood, and to clear any encroaching scrub within the meadows, along with the seasonal rotation of coppicing, thinning and hedging,

We were also contracted to carry out grass regeneration using BlueGreen's own Flying Flock- the modern, more sustainable mowers who are working to regenerate the chalk grassland through the appropriate grazing regime.

EVENTS

BlueGreen is also involved with the local community group and runs practical volunteer days from coppicing to wildlife surveying. A number of walks (including bat and owl walks), events and craft days are run throughout the year.
